Meet Darla, founder & designer

I created Emerald Street Designs after navigating my own season of starting over. Leaving a long corporate career wasn’t just a career change — it was a personal awakening. Along my journey, jewelry became more than style; it became a daily reminder of who I was becoming and gave me the gentle nudge to keep choosing myself.

When I design a collection, I’m not chasing trends. I’m thinking about the real women who will wear them while celebrating real moments in their lives - everyday experiences that make up a beautiful life. I carefully consider how a piece will look, feel and move when it’s worn. I ask myself one simple question: “Would I reach for this piece again? If the answer isn’t yes, it doesn’t make the collection.

My hope is that every piece serves as a reminder to be bold, seen, and embrace whatever comes next.
